Our Mission

The Placitas Community Library seeks to become an essential part of the life of our residents by promoting an enriched, informed, and connected community. We provide and promote open and equal access to OUR resources and services in order to meet the informational, educational and cultural needs of our diverse community in a welcoming, convenient and responsive manner.

Our motto is, "Una Placita Para Todos -- A Place for Everyone."
 
The Placitas Community Library is a grassroots effort to establish a permanent library in Placitas and encourages a true community effort by bringing residents together to participate in establishing the library. We believe that our library is an essential building block in developing a sense of community pride and spirit. Our volunteer effort invigorates and moves people in this common goal of community building.
