Art Exhibits Art Exhibits at the Library – The Collin Meeting Room is now available for Art Exhibits with preference given to local Placitas artists. The Art Exhibits may run for up to a month, and arrangements can be made for receptions during the exhibit. To apply for an exhibit at the Placitas Library, please fill out the art exhibit application available here and provide all information requested. You will be contacted within one week. Current Show Artist of the Month May - Picture Placitas - Come view and then purchase art and photos by members of the Placitas community to benefit the library. Artist of the Month June - Anna Goodridge: Artist’s Retrospective Anna Goodridge is just an Indiana farm girl. She grew up on a small farm and her playground was the woods, streams, cornfields, farm animals, barns and farm lanes. This developed her powers of observation and grounded her to nature. During her career as an art teacher, Anna strived to develop her own painting skills. She studied at various colleges and with artists in California and New Mexico. Her selection of paintings is a retrospective of how life experiences open an artistic eye to new techniques, subject matter and creative experimentation.
