United Way Donations

Did you know that when you make you annual donation to the United Way of Central New Mexico

(www.uwcnm.org), you can designate any non-profit in New Mexico as the recipient? This year,

please designate you contribution (and your employer's matching funds) as a pass through donation

to the Placitas Community Library Capital Campaign. The United Way will ‘pass the funds through'

to the account for our new building. Your contribution will be a great help in providing space for full

service library and community meeting room Placitas needs so much. As you may know, the PCL is

entirely volunteer run. Sandoval County and the State of New Mexico do not provide funds for library

operations though they do, through your tax bonds, provide funding for materials and resources.

We do all we can to keep our expenses to a minimum as we are totally dependent on your donations

for all operating expenses. We will still need your help for operating expenses this year during our

annual Friends Fund Drive in November. Thank You in advance.

Book and Audio/Visual Donations

The Library is thrilled to receive your donations of books, audio tapes and videos. Most of your donations

go right on the shelves. If we have duplicates or the sorters think certain titles are not appropriate for our

collection, they will be used to help us build our resources to procure other titles or we will donate them

to other New Mexico rural libraries. Book donations can be dropped off at the library during our open hours.

Magazine Donations
In our current location, we are space constrained and unable to accept magazine donations.
