This
is the original "Out of Range" chalk pastel created
by artist Darryl Willison that will be auctioned on the evening
of September 28th at the Placitas Community Library Books
on the Bosque event at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort.
The suggested retail value is $4500. One hundred percent of
the auction price will be donated to the library's capital
fund.
The
"Out of Range" original was unveiled at a party
held at Art Gallery 66 in Bernalillo n June 14 th . An estimated
100 people attended the event, and $590 was raised for the
new Placitas library from sales of "Out of Range" prints and
other Darryl Willison art pieces that sold on the evening
of the preview party.
Giclee
prints (16" X 20") of the original on archival paper
or stretched canvas will remain on sale at Art Gallery
66 located at 373 N Camino Del Pueblo in Bernalillo (505-341-2837)
until the September 28th event and beyond. A special
re-mark option is also available.
Darryl will create your favorite book title and day dream
image in original pastel on essentially an original giclee
print. A full 50% of all "Out of Range"
print sales will be donated to the Placitas Community Library
capital fund.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a hub for library services and activities
connecting our community to the world in a warm and friendly environment.
Library services include books, audio/visual materials for children,
young adults and adults in addition to reference services, high-
speed computer access, adult and children's programs and limited
meeting space. When we have a permanent location we will provide
a wider range of materials, programs, services and a larger community
meeting space.
Our motto is, "Una Placita Para Todos -- A Place for Everyone."
The Placitas Community Library is a grassroots effort to
establish a permanent library in Placitas and encourages a true
community effort by bringing residents together to participate in
establishing the library. We believe that our library is an essential
building block in developing a sense of community pride and spirit.
Our volunteer effort invigorates and moves people in this common
goal of community building.
The library DOES have one paid employee......Bonnie the cat.
